If you are interested in singing we have the following opportunities for you:

Cross Generational Choir-All Ages
Our Cross Generational Choir is a choir for all ages that leads and sings monthly at our 11:00 am services from October to Easter Sunday (including Christmas Eve!)  Our repertoire is of diverse styles and includes
traditional/modern hymnody and classics. Rehearsals are once a month on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm.

Chancel Choir- High School and Up
Our Chancel Choir is a choir that meets more frequently to rehearse motets and church anthems arranged for 2 part, SAB and SATB choirs. The Chancel Choir’s main role is to lead hymns from our Glory To God hymnal to grow the congregational song here at First Presbyterian at the 11:00 am service. The ensemble sings weekly from the end of August through April including Easter and rehearses weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.

Sonrise Singers- All Ages
We are excited to expand our choirs to the 8:45 am service. This vocal group only sings twice a year (Sept. and March) and is truly for anyone that wants to sing.  We will rehearse at 9:30 am for 10 minutes the Sunday preceding when we sing and also meet at 8:15 am on the Sunday we sing. Online rehearsal tracks will also be available. Please invite all of your musical friends and let’s worship God together!

First Presbyterian Carolers-All Ages
We thoroughly enjoy caroling to our homebound members for the Christmas and Easter seasons as weather permits. We meet on a Sunday that we will announce in the bulletin at 4:15 PM  for a short rehearsal and then immediately carol to 6 PM. There is no preparation needed for this and anyone that likes to sing is welcome to join us!

Kingdom Kids Choir- Grades Pre-K to 5
This is a choir for Pre-K-5th graders with the heart to express their faith in song. Ordinarily, they present a short musical for the season of Advent and Christmas. We meet on Sunday afternoons during the Kingdom Kids meeting time seasonally to sing music.

 

If you are interested in ringing we have the following opportunities for you:

 

Kyrk Ringers-Ages 10 and up
The Kyrk Ringers enjoy working on rhythmic, tuneful music that includes studying the percussive techniques of the handbell. We look forward to sharing our music at the 11:00 am worship service monthly and the 8:45 am worship service occasionally. We rehearse on Mondays from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM from September to Palm Sunday.

The Early Light Ringers- All children
This group of younger ringers rings 2-4 times a year for our 8:45am Early Light service. The ringers play one-two notes each and short rehearsals take place the week immediately before playing at 9:30 am.

Each week our Director of Music Robert Morehead will feature a hymn selection from our Glory to God Hymnal. Robert will provide some history and background about each selection and sing it playing the organ or piano here at First Presbyterian. Please subscribe or view the Hymn of the Week videos.
