Youth

Youth at First Presbyterian are engaged in all facets of church life - from church leadership to mission. In general, our program is marked by four areas:

Study for 6th-12th graders meets on Sunday mornings during the school year in the Youth Room upstairs in the Fellowship Building from 9:45-10:40 am. During June, July, and August, youth are warmly welcomed to Summer Sunday School with the adults at 9:00 am in the library.

Music Many opportunities are available for youth to enjoy and participate in music ministry. Please see our music page for more information.

Fellowship for 6th-12th graders meets on most Sunday evenings during the school year from 4:30-6:00 pm. Youth Fellowship includes supper, service and mission projects, fun group building games and activities, study, and discussions about what it means to be a teenage Christian in today’s culture.

Ventures are interspersed throughout the year and include summer mission trips, summer conferences for middle school youth in Massanetta, Virginia, and for high school students in Montreat, NC, and school year retreats for both middle and high schoolers.
